I look at the last time I blogged and I get discouraged and down on myself. I want so badly to document this time in our lives but our lives are just too busy. I think that adds to my frustration. My heart is extra heavy this morning for two families going through so much. One family is mourning the loss of their baby boy 1 year ago today and the other family is waiting bone marrow tests on their little boy. Life is so precious and I am reminded everyday as I see my two playing, learning, and loving. I take so much for granted, God please forgive me for that. There is so much I want to write but somehow at a loss for words. If you know me, you know that is not normal! I'll post some pictures and update you all on our little world.

This was Ty's first day of pre-school this year :) Such a big boy :) He was potty trained at 26 months! Day and Night! Praise the Lord!

We LOVE Dollywood! One of our many trips :)

In March Ty and I went to Jacksonville to visit my bestest friend and her daughter McKenna. Ty and McKenna are only 3 days apart :) Erin was very pregnant with their little girl Addison so we thought it was a great time to go on a road trip! We had a blast at the beach, going to kids museums, watching movies, eating, etc, etc! Here are a few pictures from our visit. Oh, and since Dave is a fireman and in the Navy...he was a HUGE hit with Ty! Ty loves anything that makes loud noises, on wheels, flys, etc!

They had an absolute blast together! They laughed, fought, hugged, and played! Like true best friends! :)

The Zoo!!

We went to the zoo with my parents and we had a great time! Ty loved all the animals and Kenley enjoyed the ride in the stroller! It was rather hot but we're glad we went!

Our Little Trooper!

We have had an eventful past week! Ty had a horrible staph infection in his leg! We took him to the ER on Tuesday night and we had to stay for him to have surgery on Wednesday and did not go home til Friday! He was such a little trooper and he did really well considering all the people poking him and hurting him! Poor little guy! Here are some pictures to capture the adventure. We just thank God that he did so well! He is continuing to heal but will be a little longer before he is back to his normal self!

Ty LOVES his baby sister!

I am again reminded of our blessings in our lives. I am very aware of how much I take for granted and God constantly convicts me of this. Today as I watched them put Ty under anetheisa I was brought to tears. Obviously he has never been put under before and I was just so scared. However, as we were waiting in the waiting room teary eyed and worried a dad came by wheeling his little bald headed little boy who is obviously fighting cancer. An overwhelming feeling of thankfulness came over me. But also an overwhelming brokeness for this family who is dealing with a lot more than what we are now. I know our worries and concerns are valid but we have so much to be thankful for with the over all great health of our children. We are overflowing with thankfulness to the Lord who has protected Ty and his little body. So thankful for amazing doctors and nurses who have taken care of him. Our over whelming support, love and prayers of our friends and family all over the world! The kinds words, scripture and prayers offered by everyone. Thank you for your sweet friendships and the love you have shown.

We are SO SO blesssed!

We can't believe that Kenley is already 3 months old!!! Here's our sweet baby girl at 3 months! She is such a talker and loves to ooo and coo! She also smiles a lot especially at Ty! She is still a great sleeper and is already sleeping 11 hours or so at night! Praise the Lord! She is such a blessing and a wonderful miracle in our lives!

The World of Couponing!!!!

Greetings! Well I am officially heavily involved in the world of couponing! Since I am not working much right now I feel the need to pinch every penny possible! And I sure am pinching well! There are several resources that have helped me like couponsuzy.com, southernsavers.com, cellfire.com, and kroger.com. My favorite place to grocery shop here in Knoxville is Kroger. I guess because I gew up on Kroger brands and shopping there I love it. PLUS they have double coupons up to .50! Which is AWESOME!! I save on average 50-70% off of my grocery bill. For example:

With the MEGA $4 off deal that Kroger was having, paper coupons, cell fire & kroger coupons downloaded on my Kroger card my bill would have been $147.00 instead it was $55!!! Can you see all the stuff I got! I was SO proud! :) If I do say so myself!

Also, I tried for the first time the CVS bucks and I think I did pretty well!

I initially did the Shick Razor (8.97-5.00 coupon) but got $4.00 in bucks back in one transaction. Out of pocket $5.19 I think.

Then the next transaction I did the 2 big air wicks $6.99 each with $4.00 off coupon of each one then the small air wick for $4.99 with $4.00 off coupon. Coupon for free shaving gel . Deodorant was .99-.50 off coupon. Then I had a $3.00 off purchase then applied my $4.00 bucks and total out of pocket $2.30 I think. So total $7.49 out of pocket. Total would have been $33 plus tax. Saved appox $26.00! :) I was very pleased!

Farm Visit Summer 2010

Well as always we have a WONDERFUL time out visiting my grandparents at their farm in Missouri! There are 360 acres for Chad and Ty to play on! :) My grandpa's health is pretty good right now. He did have to have back surgery to repair some fractured disks. He is healing pretty well for a 86 year old man! So thankful for that! He had his surgery while we were there and so we were able to help them out. Ty of course had a blast looking and mooing at all the cows and riding on all the trucks & tractors & mowers & anything that had wheels! Ty & Kenley did great on the trip! They both travel so well and we are SO thankful! Our trips are a little slower getting out there but we're getting to be pros at it! It was the first time that Grammie & PaPa got to see Kenley and they just loved on her so much! Grammie calls Kenley her little doll :) She would ooo and coo at them and they loved it! Chad loved riding the 4 wheeler looking for things to shoot and ride around on the property. He shot a few things and we were so proud! :) Chad also got to rake hay while we were there and he loved learning how to operate all the machinery! That's it for now...I'll try to write more later!

Yea well as I wrote that title I started laughing....especially at how crazy our life is! :) But what a wonderful crazy life it is!!! I committed to blogging only to go to Missouri for the week in the middle of no where with no internet! Bad time to committ huh? ha. Anyways, hopefully I'm back on track! I will post again when the kids are in bed to share some ways that God is showing himself SOOO faithful! I am so grateful! Here are some recent pics of the kiddos! I'll write more later!

Commitment to Blogging

Hello everyone! The title of this blog is commitment to blogging because I feel the need to do this so that I better document what is going on in our lives and write down things that are going on with our kids so I don't forget! I am always telling myself that I won't forget the funny things Ty does or the milestones Kenley has but I know I will! A girl that I met through our youth ministry metro conferences has 4 kids under the age of 4. A 3 year old daughter and triplet sons who are 9 months! She has committed to 100 days of blogging this time in her life and that is what has inspired me! If she can blog with that many young kids I can too! So July 1st seems like a good time to start. I know myself and I can't commit to 100 days straight but I am committing to at least 3 times a week! So here we go!

Some funny and not so funny things Ty is doing and saying! :)

"Mommy, excited! We're home!"

"I wanna hold 'er!" Talking about wanting to hold Kenley :)

"It's ok baby sissor!" aka baby sister

When you ask Ty, "What's your name?" He says, "T - Y"

He will say, "Daddy cry!" Wanting us to act like we are crying and he will console us! ha

He will look at me, hold up one finger and say, "Mommy, I'll be right back" as he's going up the stairs!

While laying on the ottoman, with his life jacket on, bouncing up and down he will yell, "I wanna go tube! Bouncy Bouncy Bouncy!"

When we get in the car, "Mommy, song please! Louder, louder!" It's his favorite song right now..."Your Grace is Enough" Nothing blesses my heart more than to hear him sing Your Grace is Enough at the top of his lungs! :)

Ty will ask Chad to play the piano while Ty sings his songs. He uses the guitar stand as a microphone! He will sing his ABC's, Jesus love me, "You Remain" a song our choir sings, "Your Grace is Enough", the itsy bitsy spider, etc.

When he's tired he will say, "Mommy, I wanna hold you" :)

When he can't find his blanket or his pacy he will yell, "Blankie! Pacy! Blankie! Pacy!" As if it will jump out at him! ha

We ask, "Ty what do you want for lunch?" He will say, "Um...a big boy sandwich!"

Ty had his 2 year check up at the doctor on Monday and he did great! Especially since he had 2 shots and a finger prick!! :( He weighs 32 lbs and is 36 inches long! He is right his growing curve and the doctor was so impressed with his vocabulary! Ty knows all of his alphabet and their sounds, counts to 10, knows almost all of his colors, can jump, and do all the things the doctor asked him to! Here's a pic :) Apparently I was getting my month checked out too! hahaha

Kenley - aka sister or baby sister - is doing amazing! She is such a chilled laid back baby! She eats great and sleeps even better! :) She averages 5 or so hours of sleep at night without waking up! :) She will wake up to eat and go back to sleep until 8:30am or so. It's awesome! We are so blessed! She is growing like a little beautiful weed :) She is probably around 11 pounds now and will be 7 weeks old tomorrow! She just started really cooing at us and smiling at us! Ty absolutely loves her and can't get enough of her! Sometimes he loves her a little too much/hard! But that's ok I'm just glad he loves her! She is in mostly 0-3 month clothes but still wears a few new born things. She loves to be swaddled but with her arms out. She just now found her hands and will sometimes suck on them but she will take her pacy. She doesn't really enjoy her tummy time but we still do that everyday to help her little neck get stronger. I can definitely tell that she is starting to hold her neck up really well!

Well Ms. Kenley needs to eat and I have to pick Ty up from his preschool class so gotta run! The story of my life!

Hello everyone! I know it has been a while since I've blogged but here we go with updates!

Kenley - She will be 6 weeks old this Friday! Craziness! We went to the doctor last Wednesday and she checked out wonderfully! She is 10 lbs and 10 ozs. She is 22 1/4 inches long! She is in the 90th percetile in height and weight! She hides her weight well though! She is such a wonderful baby! She sleeps well, eats well and is almost sleeping through the night! She typically sleeps from 11pm or so until around 4am then wakes up to eat then goes back to sleep until around 7:30am! We are SO thankful for that! Especially since Ty is going to wake up at 8am wether I am rested or not! She is getting more and more alert every day!

Ty - Ty just turned 2 years old on Sunday!! Time is flying by with him! He is SO much fun and has such a great personality! He absolutely loves Kenley and is so good with her! Sometimes he can get a little rough but overall he is great! He is going to a preschool class twice a week during the summer and he loves it! It is so good for him to be with other kids and have activity. I also enjoy my time alone with Kenley! We had a John Deere themed birthday party with our family and friends! We had about 30 people here at the house and had a blast!

I also wanted to post a picture of Ty at his 1 year old birthday party! Crazy to see how much they grow in just one year! :)

Kenley's Story

Hey everyone! I promise I'll get better about blogging! After my pregnancy had a rough start back in September I haven't had any desire to blog at all. Given that I just delivered our miracle baby...Kenley 2 weeks ago, I want to share with you her story.

I went to the doctor last September and I had no idea I was pregnant! They had me take a pregnancy test and it came back positive! Chad was not with me and I was SO excited to tell him. So as I was waiting for the ultrasound room to open up I was thinking about fun ways to share the news with Chad! I proceeded to get an ultrasound only for the doctor to share with me that my pregnancy was tubal and I couldn't keep the baby. Immediately I called Chad and once he answered the phone I started crying uncontrollably. I handed the phone to my doctor for her to explain to Chad what was going on. He rushed over to the doctors office immediately. I also called my mom and she came over. There was an obvious mass in my left fallopian tube and nothing showing in my uterus. The doctor, nurse practitioner, nurse, and ultrasound tech were watching the monitor. I was just overwhelmed and not sure what to think. We went into one of the rooms and started talking about my options. Only to find out the only option was to have surgery to remove the baby because the baby could not grow in my tube. Chad asked the doctor all sorts of questions like if it was possible for the baby to move, or could the doctor move the baby, etc, etc. Of course all answers were 'no'.
My doctor set up for me to have the surgery in 2 hours. Long enough to make plans for Ty and go home and pack an overnight bag. We did all of that and went to the hospital. We were pretty much in a fog and experiencing a lot of emotions! We went to the waiting room where my parents and Chad's parents were waiting for us. We all were emotional. They called me back and Chad and I walked to the prep room. As I walked into the room the phone rang. The nurse said, "Jennifer, Dr. Roberts is on the phone for you." I talked to my doctor and she told me that she did not have peace about operating on me because my blood was borderline normal. She said that if she operates on me and the baby is in fact in the correct place then she will have aborted my baby! Wow, we were SO thankful for her sensitivity and we are convinced that God was in the blood tests and was guiding my doctor in a very distinct way! Keep in mind, all of this has happened in a four hour time span!
With that my doctor wanted to monitor me and watch my blood levels to see if they increased like they should to show a normal pregnancy. We walked out in the waiting room and you should have seen the look on our families faces! Over the next 2-3 weeks we lived in a grey area not knowing what the outcome was going to be! I went every day or every other day to get my blood drawn to get numbers. We prayed for some crazy things over those 3 weeks! God is so faithful and every time we needed the numbers to double they would almost triple!! God is so good! The worst case scenario would be that I was pregnant with twins and one twin was in the tube and one was not. However, after those 3 weeks the ultrasound showed NO mass in my tube and the baby in the uterus where she should be!!! We were shocked and in awe of God's provision for us and our baby!
I think we both were still hesitant to be excited about the pregnancy b/c we didn't know about complications, etc. But God gave us peace during that difficult time! Later we found out that my due date would be May 23rd and we could not wait to finally meet this precious gift from the Lord!

SO MUCH has happened!!!

Hey everyone! So forgive me for not posting something earlier but I lost my memory card for our camera/video camera....so I didn't want to post until I had a video of Ty WALKING! :) Yes, our live has dramatically changed over the past few weeks! One day I was walking out of our kitchen and I stood him up by his car. I turned around to lock the gate back, turned around and there he goes walking across the room! Crazy! People told me that it would just happen one day and I didn't believe it until it happened! He LOVES walking around and exploring everywhere. The attached videos also show some of his "tricks" like asking what his name is, where his nose is, playing peek-a-boo, walking, saying juice, saying turtle, etc. The last video shows him desperately wanting Chad's cinnamon roll....hilarious!

Other news....

-Chad had back surgery 3 weeks ago and is doing well considering the surgery. He had 3 bulging disks in his lower back and once the doctor started the surgery he realized it was going to be more extensive than what he origionally thought. So he has 3 more weeks until he can pick Ty up and that has been the hardest on Chad. He's moving slow...especially since he lives his life at such a fast pace! I'm just thankful he is showing great improvement and in not much pain! We went on our college retreat this past weekend and had an amazing time worshipping, studying the Word, and hanging out with everyone! God worked in people's lives so please pray that He will continue to work!

-I started the searching for a teaching position over 4 months ago. Through this process I have learned a lot, been frustrated, cried a lot, etc. Long story short I did not getting a teaching job this semester. If you live in Knoxville you know that they have cut TONS of teaching jobs by cutting the budget. And it doesn't make sense to me why I didn't get a job other than God has other plans for me right now. We do not know what this next year holds but I am trusting God I am going what I am supposed to be doing. All that to say that God has opened up a business opportunity for me. In July I conducted an estate sale for a good friend of ours and loved doing it! Since then I have made several contacts and learned that this service is desperately needed in Knoxville. So I have applied for my business licsense and "Open Door Estate Sales" Company will begin Sept 1st! I am so excited and I really do feel that God has opened this door to a company that I can stay home more with Ty and still make the supplimental income that we need! We tried for 3 years to have Ty and I really do not want to miss out on him growing up! I know that God will allow me to teach again someday but for now...I am blessed and excited about this opportunity!

Well that is enough for now I guess....I want to get some stuff done while Ty is napping :)

Well this will be a quick post but this is hilarious! Ty is saying a few words these days but if his vocabulary were a playlist on your ipod it would read that he has said "ball" 4,592 times in the past week. Holy cow! He wakes up saying ball while pointing at one on the nursery floor and goes to bed saying ball. Wow, we have a sports fanatic on our hands! :) haha.

The Hankins got him this car and he absolutely LOVES it! Hey everyone! Well we finally had Ty's birthday party this past Tuesday! It as so much fun! We had 28 people here celebrating with us! He got lots of fun toys, a swimming pool, car, wagon, books, and clothes! He finally dove into his cake and was such a ham! Enjoy the pictures! Now onto another year of FUN!

Ty's 1 year check up!

We went to the doctor today for Ty's 1 year check up and he is doing GREAT!! We were shocked because he didn't not weigh as much as we thought he was going to! haha. He is 29 inches long and weighs 24 pounds! He has only grown 1 inch and gained 10 ounces since March. However, since March he has started crawling and walking around holding on to everything! So he probably gained some weight then lost it when he started moving all around! So everything checked out great and our doctor was very pleased with his process! Hopefully we won't have to go back to the doctor until his 15 month check up in September!

He is in 12 month clothes and in size 4 diapers. He'll stand briefly by himself but plop down to his bottom and start crawling again. He can crawl so fast and if you turn your back on him he'll be out of the room very quickly! So we have baby gates up to say the least! He is drinking all milk and water out of a sippy cup! That was super exciting! I'm sure there will be more news on Ty soon!

On a personal note...I am continuing to wait on a teaching job! Please pray for my patience and that God will open up a teaching position in his timing!

Little Ty Man Is 1 Years Old!!!!!

I cannot even express my thoughts that have gone through my head throughout the day today as I look back on the past year. There were LOTS of happy, tough, emotional, long, tiring, joyful times and they were all worth it! Parenthood changes your life for FOREVER and in ways that we never could have imagined! Chad is such an amzing husband and dad! We are celebrating a lot this weekend: Ty's birthday today, Father's day tomorrow, and our 7th anniversary on Monday! :) Thank you to all of you who have played such important our lives! We are extremely grateful for all God has tought us and are continuing to grow us daily.
Last week on vacation Morgan took our pictures on the beach and these pictures will serve as Ty's 1 year pictures! They turned out so well and we had a great time taking them on the beach. We will be celebrating his birthday next week with our family and that will be a big celebration! :) He will also go to the doctor for his 1 year check up on Thursday and I'll be able to give you all the specifics on his weight, height, and growth! Enjoy the pictures of our little guy! Wow how he has grown!!! :)

We had an amazing week vacationing with the Hankins at Orange Beach, AL. We have been on vacation with them for the past three years! Austin loves 'baby Ty' and always jumps in our family pictures! We absolutely love Austin and can't believe that he is so big now!

It's Been Crazy Around Here!!!

I know I know....a lot of time has gone by since I have written last but LOTS has been going on so here it goes!....

TY:
-Ty is on his way to his 1st birthday! He will turn 1 on June 20th! Words cannot express the wave of emotions that just crossed my mind when I said that! He is crawling all over the place, eating all sorts of new foods, started on real milk, holding on to everything to walk, and has quite the personality! He has 8 teeth and is working on a molar tooth in the back! So he has lots of teeth to use when eating all that yummy food! I have started transitioning him to real milk and can I tell you how EXCITED I am to have just bought my last can of formula!?!?!? Wow, it was liberating! :) We have officially babyproofed the house with gates, barracades, outlet covers, etc. It is nice just to let him crawl and roam around and not worry about all that stuff!
I have no idea how much he weighs but he is in size 12-18 months clothes and size 4 diapers. We will have his 12 month check-up towards the end of June so I'll fill you in on more then!

Chad:
-Chad took a few of our college students on a mission trip during May. It was a wonderful trip and they got to see so many cool things and meet some really awesome people. He has been experiencing some major back/leg pain over the past several months. After 2 MRI's they found out that he has 3 slipped disks. This has been a long painful process but today he had a cortizone (spelling?) shot and is recooperating on the coach! They said that this could ease the pain for a few weeks or for 6-8 months....so we are obviously hoping that it lasts months and not weeks! The next step will do another shot and see how it works. Then ultimately if it is not working then he will have to have surgery. Now, that is later down the road but please be praying for him. He is not able to lift, swim, or do major activity so please keep him in your prayers.

Me:
-I am dreadfully enduring the teacher interview process! I have interviewed with a few schools and should know something by this Friday. I know that wherever God wants me that is where I will be. However, it is really hard to wait and be patient! I finished up the year at Ball Camp teaching 2nd grade and I loved it! It was such a great experience and I learned so much! I am enjoying being at home with Ty but it is an adjustment! We are spending lots of time on the lake and enjoying every minute of it! We have some trips planned this summer and are excited to see all of our family and friends!

10 months sure do go by fast!

Hey everyone! Here's a little update on our 10 month little boy!

Notice I said little boy and not baby. Ty is definitely taking on the little boy look! Makes me sad but he is not looking like my little baby anymore! :( He is doing, saying, eating, and going SO much!

He started crawling almost a month ago I guess. He is EVERYWHERE! The baby gates are up, the ottoman is in front of a door way, etc. And we are finding more and more baby proofing to do! He loves being down on the ground exploring and playing. However, he does not to be totally by himself for long periods of time. But we can still get lots done and he stays entertained!

With me working full time I have had a hard time expanding his menu for eating. It is a blessing and a curse that he doesn't much much in his mouth except his fingers, bottle, and pacy. The blessing is that he doesn't pick up random stuff off the floor and put it in his mouth. The curse is that he doesn't want to put the finger foods in his mouth once he picks them up. I guess in time he'll get the hang of it! We are still trying to transition to a sippy cup but I think I need to find a few other ones to try to see if he likes them. Our goal is to have him transitioned to milk from formula by the first week in June! YEA! What an exciting day that will be! :)

He is on to his 9-12 month clothes and still in size 4 diapers. I have no idea how much he weighs probably 25 lbs or so! :) He is the chunkiest cutest kid in the world! :) In my humble but accurate opinion! :)

He loves being outside swinging and watching daddy mow the yard! Ty has been saying da-da for a while but the other day Chad walked in the house and Ty looked at him, laughed, and said "da-da"! So I think that was the official da-da to Chad moment! It was precious!

He continues to be laid back and a chilled kid. He had a few Sundays at the nursery where he cried but come to find out he had an ear infection! So he's been on an antibiotic and is doing much better!

We are loving the beautiful Spring weather and look forward to many other FIRSTS this year!

Hey everyone! You'd think I'd learn to just blog every other day so I didn't have so much to catch up on but you know...my life is just CRAZY! So...here are the up-to-the-minutes with the Eidemiller household!

Ty turns 9 months old tomorrow! I am at a loss for words on how this has gone by so quickly! He is so much fun and so easy going! He loves to look at EVERYTHING and takes it all in! This has been my spring break from school so I have spent lots of time with him and it really makes me miss being at home! But hopefully this time at work will only be for a short time!! We went to his 9 month check up yesterday and he weighs 24 pounds! Like I have said before...we are raising a linebacker! So he is 90th % in weight...wowzers! He is still in his 6-9 month clothes but those are starting to get a little short so we're moving on up soon to the 12 month stuff! I am SO ready for spring and am enjoying the beautiful weather! Chad will be home from work here in a little while and we're going to the park...so I'll have fun pictures from there! He is scooting and rolling everywhere! He can crawl backwards and around in circles but not completely forward yet...but it's only a matter of days! He loves standing up and holding onto things. He obviously can not walk but then again...it will only be a matter of time!

Chad is doing great. He was sick for a little while and his back has been bothering him but as soon as the spring weather hit he was out in the yard! It is his therapy! Haha. Our yard always looks awesome due to all of his hard work! We are heavy into the spring cleaning around here...don't drop by because you might get thrown away!! :) haha.

We went to spend the weekend with Chad's family up in Gatlinburg where his parents rented a cabin for everyone for the weekend! We had a wonderful time relaxing, playing games, and lounging around! :)

Hey everyone! The title says it all! This month has been an adjustment time! Here's an overview on what has happened!...
1. I started back to work full time...teaching 2nd grade an elementary school in town at the beginning of the month.
2. Ty claps all the time, loves playing the piano and pauses for applause :), is eating all sorts of veggies, fruits, and snacks. He sits all by himself now, almost waving, sleeping 10 hours!, in 6-9 month clothes still, and has grown so much hair!
3. My basketball season is officially over after losing in the regions to Oak Ridge.
4. Chad has been sick for 2 weeks with ear infections, sinus infections, and pulled his back out.
5. My "little" brother Bradley turned 21!!!!!
6. I received my first full time paycheck - Praise God from whom all blessings DO FLOW!
7. Ty is at my moms once a week, at Chad's mom's once a week, and at church 2 days a week. Chad keeps him at home the other day.
8. Ty had more problems with his bronchitis BUT he went on singulair (allergy medicine) and it cleared it up so hopefully allergies are the culprit to all his stuff going on!
9. We have started planning our summer activities: Chad on a mission trip, to the beach with the Hankins, to Missouri to visit my grandparents, and to Florida to see my bestest friend! All before school starts in August!

I am sure there is more stuff that I missed but that is enough action for a single month! Wow...it makes me tired to think about all of that!
March holds lots of fun stuff too! Ty will turn 9 months old! We are getting away for the weekend with Chad's side of the family, SPRING BREAK!!!, and many other milestones!

Wow! It's Been A While!!! .....

Hey everyone! I appologize that it has been SO long since I have blogged! Much has happened so I will attempt to fill everyone in as much as I can! :)
We had a wonderful Christmas full of family, fun, gifts and food! Grammie and PaPa stayed for almost two weeks and we really wish we had more time with them! They are both doing great and God is healing their bodies! 2008 was a rough year for them but 2009 is looking brighter! They had tons of fun with Ty and are already counting down the days until they see him again!
Over New Year's we packed up and headed to Tallahassee where were had a reunion with some of our great friends from there. We had not seen some of them since we left Tally over 4 years ago! Almost everyone has children now and it was such an awesome time to catch up and bring in the new year together. Ty always decides to have a "first" while we're out of town. He had been teething for a while but there was not much drool. We were not sure how this whole teething process worked and wow did we get a rude awakening! Ty started having diarreah CONSTANTLY! I don't mean just a little poop...it was CONSTANT AND EVERYWHERE! We had to change outfits a bunch and wash them at our friends house. We also had to wash his carseat cover 3 times! It was out of control! We did drive over to Jacksonville to visit my best friend Erin, her husband Dave, and their little girl McKenna. It was so much fun to spend some quality time with them before we headed back to Knoxville. The pooping continued until we got back! I told Chad one day that was so tired of smelling poop! haha. As soon as the poop stopped 2 little teeth broke through! I guess it was worth it!

Ty now weighs 20 lbs and 10 ozs! He is still in size 3 diapers and in all of his 6-9 month clothes. Wow, the clothes are out of control too! I can't imagine having to deal with girl clothes and all the accesories! We have enough to deal with with our camo, overalls, t-shirts, and sleepers!
Well that's all I can think of as of now! I do start my teaching job February 2nd! I am really excited to be a "real" teacher after all the schooling I went through! Be praying for me as I start this new adventure! I'll post pictures soon!

We are SO thankful that Grammie and PaPa got to come for Christmas! Than you to everyone who has kept them in your prayers! They are doing much better!

Ty is 6 months!

Hey everyone! Well to start things off Ty is feeling MUCH better! Thank you for all your prayers! We went back to the doctor after the ER trip and the doctor saw a start of an ear infection so he put Ty on amoxicilin. Then we went back this past Thrusday for his 6 month appointment. We had a clean bill of health! No sign of brochitis and no ear infection! Yeah, praise the Lord! He has only gained one pound in two months! He's right at 20lbs! We thought that was weird becuase he is definitely bigger! Well they measured him and he has grown almost 2.5 inches! He's at 27 1/4 inches! So he's probably gained weight but it's just stretched out! He is offically in 6-9 months clothes. Most of his 3-6 months clothes would fit if they were a little longer! He also recieved this months shots and he cried but not much. He's so brave! We also had his 6 months pictures done yesterday and you'll get a full sampling below! We went at 9:30am and that was a PERFECT time! Hardly anyone else was there at the studio and he was happy as happy can be. The photographer took 72 pictures in about 45 minutes and we were off to make all the decisions! My mom and Barb came for the picking out process because they wanted to buy some pictures too! We thought they turned out really well!
We are really excited about this week as it leads up to Christmas! We are spending lots of time with family! By best friend, Erin, her husband Dave, and their daughter McKenna will be in town tomorrow so we'll get to see them for a few minutes! :)

Our 1st and hopefully last trip to the ER....

Hey everyone! Well it's been a whirlwind of a weekend! Ty has had a cough for a week or so now so I took him to the pediatrician last Thursday. The Dr. checked him over and he seemed to be on the up and up. Well, Saturday his cough started getting worse and worse. The cough turned into a "bark" like cough and I started getting a little worried. At 2:30am Sunday morning I felt of Ty and he was burning up! We took his temp and it was 102.3 so I called the on call nurse. She said because of his spike in temp he needed to be seen in the next 24 hours. Due to the fact that it was the weekend we'd have to go to the ER. So we got up (since we weren't going to be able to sleep anyways!) and headed downtown to children's hospital. Luckily when we got there, there were only 3 people in the waiting room. After a few hours of test, seeing nurses, seeing doctors, a chest x-ray, and a breathing treatment. Ty was diagnosed with brochiolitis. A child/infant form of adult bronchitis. So we now have a breathing machine we have to give him treatments on the next 2 days for sure but maybe more. Luckily it had not gotten down into his lungs and had not become phenuomia. I thank God for that urge He gives to us moms when it's time to take action! I knew it would be a costly trip to the hospital but it was worth knowing what was going on and get immediate treatment. Please keep praying for the little guy...he sounds awful but continues to smile and laugh :) He amazes me in how happy he is through not feeling well! It was another long night last night because he had trouble breathing and is congested. I'll keep you posted on how he progresses. While we were waiting in the ER waiting room I was just reminded how blessed we are to have a healthy baby all in all. Thank you Jesus for your protection!

Hey everyone! We hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving and enjoyed lots of time with family! We sure did and Ty made it extra special this year! He did great during the weekend and lit up every house we went to! :) Here are some updated pictures of Ty and some of the three of us. We go for his 6 month check up on the 18th! I took the first one tonight while he was playing in his bouncy seat. I've been sick and so I haven't been able to hold him! That has been SO hard! But I'm feeling a lot better so hopefully I can tomorrow! :)

This was the first thought of sweet potatoes but now he just gobbles them right up!

Such a happy little guy! :) Makes my heart melt! Oh and all the fat rolls to love on! :)

Since the last time a blogged LOTS has happened! So here it goes....as I posted before that we had a student who was in our youth group in Tallahassee commit suicide a week and a half ago. When we found out we immediately started making plans to go to the funeral. So, we left Wednesday afternoon. We went with mixed emotions obviously...with extremely heavy hearts filled with compassion for his family & friends. We knew it would be hard but we were ready to hug everyone and support them through this extremely rough time. Thank you for your prayers. The funeral was Friday and the service was packed out standing room only. Chad and Ric, a guy that was also in our student group, led worship for the service. It was great and they did an amazing job!
Ty did a great job traveling down there; however, Wednesday night was really rough! I don't think the carrots agreed with his little tummy and he was up every hour screaming. So we had a sleepless night to say the least :) Ty was a trooper as we traveled around Tallahassee seeing as many people as we could while on our trip. We visited the women's basketball office where I worked....it was SO good to see everyone! They took about an hour out of their time to hang out with us and play with Ty! Then we headed to First Baptist downtown...that was the first church we worked at in Tallahassee....to see everyone there. They just loved Ty and he was his normal smiling self! I was so proud to show him off and that despite not feeling good he still was pleasant to everyone!
Once the funeral was over on Friday afternoon we got in the car and headed to Shelbyville, TN (south of Nashville) for a basketball play day the FHS girls were playing in. We got to Shelbyville at 2am on Saturday to crash for a little while at my brothers house and got up early to head to the gym for a day of basketball. Again Ty was a trooper and did great. He even took an hour nap during the game with whistles and buzzers going off. Not only can our boy eat...obviously :) but he can sleep! haha.
Then we finally headed home Saturday night and got back to Knoxville at 9:30pm. Wow, what a world wind trip! The explorer was a mess and we were exhausted but we had a great trip!
It has taken this week to get organized, laundry done, and the house back to normal. Basketball for me is in full swing and I love going to practice everyday and I am looking forward to our first game next week! My first freshman basketball team members are now seniors and I am sad to see that this is their last year with us. But it is so rewarding to see them grow up and move on. I hope that I have been an example and made an impact on them!
Hope you all are enjoying the beautiful fall weather even enjoying the rain! I am so excited about Thanksgiving and getting together with our family and have Ty with us for the first holiday season. He will be 5 months old next week and I can not believe it! I am reminded everyday to cherish this time with Ty and watch him grow. It so exciting but sad at the same time. I am truly thankful for each and every one of you and the major part you play in our lives. Take time to enjoy family and friends but above all...take time to love & worship our creator, Jesus Christ.

We knew Drew from the youth group we worked with at Celebration Baptist in Tallahassee. This is obviously a huge shock and we are heartbroken. I am reminded daily how blessed I am to have an amazing husband, a supportive family, and a lifelong best friend to go through this stange in my life with. Chad is so great and so understanding. He proves more and more everyday his love for me, for Ty and ultimately his love for Christ! My family and Chad's family is such a support spiritually, physically, and emotionally as we figure this parenting thing out!
I am also blessed to have a lifelong best friend Erin that is literally going through this journey with me step by step as our kids will grow up together! We have shared so many ideas, excitment, prayers, frustrations, joys, stories as we watch our babies grow! She sent me an e-mail today with this message and I thought I would pass it along because it really made me think about what is truly important in life! Feel blessed today!

Hey everyone - Okay well we went to the pediatrition today...Ty weighs 18 pounds and is 25 1/2 inches long! holy moly! We are raising a linebacker folks! Haha. He checked out great and is obviously eating well! But it's good fat! He'll lose it soon when he gets moving! The doctor also gave us the go ahead to start rice cereal and some veggies. So over the next few weeks you'll see pictures of him trying to eat i'm sure they'll be funny! Thought I would fill you all in on our big fella! Hope everyone is good! Love you all!

Wow....it's been a while!

Chad is so good to me! He surprised me and took me to the mountains for my birthday! He borrowed a friend or ours jeep and we drove up to Cade's Cove and drove the loop, chad packed us a picnic lunch, drove through gatlinburg, and then to the outlets to spend my birthday money! :) It was a great day and I was REALLY surprised! My mom kept Ty and we had a great day just the two of us. It was SO weird not having a baby with us! We missed the little guy but really enjoyed the day together!

Here's the update on our little man! Actually I'll give a more up to date one on Tuesday because we'll go for his 4 month check up! Crazy! The past few nights have been rough because we think he is going through a growth spurt and starting the teething process. What a joy! ha. Up until this week he was sleeping from 9 until 7 or so then this little bump in the road came and he started waking up at 1am and 4am like he was a newborn again! We have started using his walker and little seat and he loves looking at all the toys on them!

He's in his 3-6 months clothes and can wear some of his shoes! He's getting so big so fast! We will also get the "okay" to do cereal & stage one baby foods on Tuesday from the doctor. I am also venturing out and making his baby food to save money! I have already pureed several things and frozen them. It's actually pretty easy!
Chad also takes Ty to work with him sometimes if I have to substitute or run some quick errands. Chad loves taking him to show him off and sometimes Ty does some computer work for daddy! :) He actually kinda looks like that talking baby on T.V.! haha

We also went to a Carson Newman football game a few weekends ago and Ty did great! Here's him and Chad watching the game! :)

Some AMAZING news!!

Hey everyone! Great news!!!! My grandpa got his results back from his catscan and the tumor is GONE! It is a miracle! He has also gained 9 pounds which is also a miracle! Thank you for your thoughts and prayers! Keep praying that the cancer stays gone! Thought you all would want to know! Praise the Lord! :)

Ty is really holding his head up well so I decided to put him in his baby walker thing and see how he did. Well he did great and enjoyed looking around! He's getting so big I can't believe it! We have also been able to go to our nephews soccer games and here are a few pictures from there. Nothing new to catch you all up on other than my grandpa will get his catscan results back on Monday so please pray for those! I'll post an update...please pray that the tumor is gone and he will not have to do more chemo!

Ty is 3 Months!!

The past three months have flown by! Ty is doing great and I was actually late for church on Sunday because normally I don't have to set an alarm because he wakes me up....well he didn't wake up until 8:30!!!! Wowzers!!! He has gotten into a great schedule where after I feed him he stays awake for an hour and we play. Then he gets a little fussy and fights going to sleep then sleep for an hour or so then wakes up smiling :) then I feed him again 30 min later! I am starting to stretch out his feedings to 3.5 hours apart. So he's eating at 7:30, 11, 2:30, 6 & 9:30 then a bath & off to bed! Thank the Lord for a great constant schedule! :)
We also had baby dedication on Sunday the 14th and Ty did great! Here are some pictures of the day! Having a baby is such a huge responsibility and we are so thankful that God has entrusted us with Ty and has blessed us with being parents! Ty is such an awesome kid and we can not wait to see how God grows him into a Godly young man!

Overwhelmed & Abundantly Blessed....

Hey everyone! I hope you all are doing good. We are doing good and loving parenthood and all that it brings!
God really got my attention just a few moments ago and I felt like I needed to share it because I know we are not the only family that is enduring financial struggles. God has promised that He will provide as long as we are faithful to Him. And He has proven faithful several times in our married life and I just stand in awe in His ability to provide even when I think we have exhausted all of our options. God has used amazing family members & friends to help provide for us financially, physically, emotionally & spiritually. For some time I have felt like my faith has become routine and mundane. I have been feeling guilty for not spending time with Him in His word. Unfortunately I sometimes wait for stressful times to come than I call on and cling to Christ. This is obviously not what God wants and I need to being growing more in Him. Thank you God for loving us so much even we are sinful and disobedient. We are truly blessed and would be lost with His salvation!

Ty's First Trip To The Farm!

We had an awesome time in Missouri visiting Grammie & PaPa. They are both doing great and are feeling better. Papa is still weak but his chemo is over so he is on the up and up. Grammie is healing wonderfully after her masectomy. Thank you so much to everyone who has prayed for them! Please keep praying though!
Chad had an awesome time exploring the farm, taking pictures, recording videos, and working! He's like a little kid when he's out there! :)
Ty did great traveling but was getting tired of the carseat by the end of the trip...and I don't blame him! We love these pictures of him and couldn't wait to share them with everyone! Today I was able to get some laundry done and rest. So tomorrow I'll be back in the routine of being at home. I finished up subbing for the teacher who lost her son. She is back at school....please continue to pray for her because this will be a long difficult road of healing. I'm sure we'll be posting more pictures soon!

Hello! Well this is the sweet face that Chad saw when he got Ty out of his crib this morning! :) Don't you just want to squeeze him!?!? haha! After a week of being sick Ty slept through the night last night....Oh praise the Lord...my alarm clock went off BEFORE he woke up!
But today I have to take him to get more shots :( So, that's no good...but one more round down...lots more to go!
I'm finishing up my week of filling in for the teacher who lost her son...please continue to pray for her and her family. It is such a tragedy and they are having a really hard time. I'll be here next week for sure.

Here are some pictures of the family when we went to Chad's grandpa's funeral. Chad preached the funeral and did an AMAZING job! He presented the gospel and Grandpa Eidemiller would have been proud of him. Rob, Kriti, Trent, and Chad sang and played the music. It was a fun time though for all of us to be together...even 11 of us in the 15 passenger van! haha. Ty traveled great and everyone loved holding him :) Here he is with an obviously full belly! :) All in all it was a great trip!

The Week So Far!

Hey everyone! Well this week has been an adjustment since I have worked everyday! On Monday Chad & Ty were both sick :( so they both stayed home! Tuesday my mom (Graham) came and kept Ty all day! His very first "babysitter"! He did great and is slowly getting over the yucky cold! Then Wednesday Ty went to work with Chad; however, Ty wanted to play all day so Chad had to come home early and work from home! haha. Ty just wanted to be held by daddy! :) Today (Thursday), Chad's mom (GiGi) is keeping Ty all day! Then tomorrow my mom is back again! I am so thankful that they are here to keep him so I can help out this amazing teacher during this time of tragedy.

Well, I went to the receiving of friends last night and was able to talk to her for a few minutes. I just assured her that we were fine at school and not to worry. She just kept telling me to go home and hold my sweet baby boy. Well I started crying there and balled all the way home....when I got home all I wanted to do was hold Ty and kiss him. Our days on this earth are truly numbered and I do not want to forget to treasure them! All of us are so blessed and I thank God that he has given us Ty....However, I know that Ty is not ours but God's and He has allowed us to enjoy him and 'borrow' him! Please God do not ever let me take for granted my faith, family, friends, and my life! I am thankful for each one of you and your special friendship & love. Make the most of everyday that God has given you.

The secretary of the school called me Sunday to tell me that her high school aged son died from an accident at home over the weekend. This is obviously a huge shock! Hey Everyone! I was waiting to put a new post when we went to the doctor for Ty's 2 month check up so here it is!
The past few days have been rough because Ty caught a little bug (cold) and had a fever for 24 hours and just felt crapy! He probably got more sleep than Chad and I did because we were up all the time checking on him! The poor little guy was just lathargic and not wanting to do anything but lay around. It scared me a little bit but his coloring was good, he was still nursing, and still having wet and poopy diapers. So....we waited it out and today he's doing a lot better but still has a cough! :( yuck! But be praying that he is all better by Monday because he has to get all of shots he was supposed to get today then!
But we did go to the doctor today and he is 13lbs 4oz and is 23.5 inches long! He is in size 1 diapers and 0-3 months clothes!
Today was an eventful day after we got home from the doctor. When we got home I fed him, then burped him...only to find poop all down the front of me due to a busted diaper! YUCK! So....I cleaned him up, cleaned myself up and put our clothes in the sink to soak! Went to change clothes. Came down to finish burping him only for him to spit up all over my clean shirt! Luckily I just kept him in his diaper. So, to say the least there is a load of clothes in the wash! Oh my...motherhood is wonderful!

We're Back!

We had a great week at our college retreat at Camp Living Stones! Ty did great and was a trooper as we trucked all over the camp doing high & low ropes, construction, games, jumping off waterfalls & caving. Ty and I skipped the caving but Chad did it and had a blast! We took Ty's pack and play and he slep wonderfully in it. He had never slept in it before because he's been sleeping in his crib at night since day 1 but he did a great job! Last night he slept from 10pm until 4am! How awesome is that? Hopefully sleeping through the night is in our near future! :) Here are some pictures to enjoy from our trip. We got a great family picture at Buck Bald Mountain our last night at camp! Ty loved laughing and cooing at all the college kids! They absolutely loves him and were fighting over to got to hold him....even the guys were fighting over him! haha. They gave me some needed breaks and I love it that they love & accept him! Since we have been trying for 3 years to have Ty some of the girls have been through that entire process with us and have seen God answer prayers and answered the ultimate prayer of giving us Ty! :) Love you all and thank you for your prayers for the week!

Hey everyone! I hope you all are doing great! We are getting into a schedule and a grove now with Ty and loving every minute! He is sleeping from 10pm until 3am, waking up to cry and eat :), then sleeping from 3:30am until 6:30 or so. So...not too bad for a 6 week old! But we CAN'T WAIT for him to sleep through the night...oh what a glorious day! haha.

As we speak Chad and I are running around like crazy getting ready for our college retreat this week! There sure is a lot to pack for such a little guy! Please pray for our week...we have 41 people going and we are SO excited to see how God speaks to us and allows us to be apart of his blessings. Our theme is "Downpour" and we are seeking God to reveal to us our sin/pride that is hindering us from his downpour of blessings. Please pray that everyone will be revived in their walk with God!

Here are some new pictures of Ty...he is growing so much! He's finally wearing his 0-3 month old clothes! I got tired of dressing him in only his newborn stuff for 5 weeks! He's really filling out and looking more like a little boy instead of a baby! Today he went to the nursery for church and Sunday school! It was such a blessing to sit in church and totally focus on the worship, the preaching, and listen to God without distractions. He did great and slept almost the whole time!

I told Ty, "Okay Ty, I need you to smile!" And he did...I'm sure it was just gas but nevertheless it was a smile :) Too cute! These are his new swim trunks that finally fit! :)

My mom called me this morning and told me that PaPa went back to the hospital last night at 11pm. They could not get his temperature down it was 101. Please pray that they find answers as to why this continues! He has to get better so his white blood cell count can go up so he can receive his last round of chemo! Pray for strength and for the doctor's wisdom!

Hey everyone! Here are some updates on Ty & my grandparents....

We went to the pediatrician yesterday for Ty's 1 month check-up and he checked out great! He is 10 lbs 2 ozs & 22 inches long! We have no idea where those 10lbs are hiding because he is still in newborn clothes! Anyways, our doctor said that he was right on target and he was really pleased with his progress! What a relief...we're actually doing something right! Praise the Lord :) He had his second hepatitis B shot and cried for a few seconds but took it like a champ! He is still having problems with his tear duct in his left eye so we got eye drops for that. They don't feel good when I put them in (because he screams!) but it is clearing up so that is great! We'll go back for a 2-month check-up next month but you'll see more posts about our little guy WAY before that! :)

I am sorry I haven't posted much about my grandparents recently but I guess that is a good thing because they are doing really well. PaPa is having his last chemo treatment the first week of August and he is really excited about that! He is not walking much with a cane anymore and continues to gain a little weight. He is amazing because he's already back out bailing hay!! That is what is keeping him going and something he loves to do. It makes me a little nervous but there's nothing stopping him!! Grammie is recovering well from her mastectomy. She is taking chemo pills and they are not even making her sick! Praise God for that! They both are gaining their strength back slowly but surely; however, PaPa will take a little longer because of everything his body has been through. Mom and Bradley are headed out there in August for a visit then in September Chad, Mom, Dad, Ty, and myself are going to my best friends' brother's wedding in Kansas City, MO. So, we will get to go to my grandparents for a long weekend which will be WONDERFUL! It will be Ty's first of many trips to the farm. Grammie & PaPa can't hardly stand not seeing Ty but September will be here before we know it. I send them pictures often so they don't feel so distant.

Hello! Well Ty is 1 month old today and I just can't believe how time is already flying! I'm sure I will be saying that for the rest of his life! I was holding him today and I can't believe how long he already is! He is still in his newborn clothes and diapers! His little chicken legs are too small even for the newborn leg holes! We head to the pediatrition tomorrow and we'll find out how much he weighs and have his 1 month check-up. I'll post an update about the check-up tomorrow! Hey Everyone! We really enjoyed a quick get away with our great friends the Hankins from Wed-Sat this week! We went to Perdido Key, FL and the weather was beautiful! We tried the beach some with Ty but it was SO hot and he was miserable (even stripped down to his diaper!) But here are some pictures...it was a great relaxing time and we got some much needed rest!

As most of you know my best friend, Erin, and I were due three weeks apart. Me with Ty Kenyon and her with McKenna Walker; however, Erin beat me to delivery and delivered little McKenna on June 18th! I couldn't believe it when I heard Dave's (Erin's husband) voice on the phone saying that Erin was in labor! But she had a great delivery and McKenna is doing great! Well while Erin and I were talking on the phone the other day we realized we had bought our kiddos the same 4th of July outfits but in different colors. :) Imagine if we lived in the same town the damage we would do! We're so blessed to have eachother (despite the distance) and have enjoyed going through this experience together! I love you Erin and I'm so thankful we have grown up together, known eachother for 20 years, still love eachother, and will raise our kids together. Just look at the cute kids we have :) We are so blessed!

Hey everyone! Life is going great with Ty! He's 10 days old today and we went to the doctor to have him weighed and he has gained his birth weight back and is 8lbs and 11ozs. The doctor said the goal would be regain the weight by day 10 and we did! So that was exciting! Ty had a touch of jaundice and had to spend a couple of hours a day in the sun and these pictures are hilarious! He was sound asleep and looked funny! Haha. We had plenty of laughs at his expense! :)

Chad has done such an amazing job and I cry when I see him rocking him late at night because it is just so sweet! I am so blessed to have a husband that is in this for the long haul, helps me constantly and puts Ty & myself before him. Thank you God for sending me my sweet husband and baby! Hey everyone! Things are going great! We are slowly but surely getting the hang of this parenting thing. Maybe by his 18th birthday we'll have it down! Haha! Today we took Ty to the pediatrician and everything looks great! He gained 2 ounces and so he is back to 8lbs exactly! We were excited to hear that. Our doctor did say that he wants us to set him in the sun a few hours each day so he does not develop jaundice. So he will sunbathe some while he rests. We're trying to keep him awake during the day some so he will sleep more at night. I know that it will take time to get into a good routine and we're off to a good start! My mom is coming back home from Missouri Thursday and will get to see Ty for the first time! She is soooo excited. My grandpa had his last chemo treatment today and had gained 4 lbs so the doctor was very pleased with his progress! Thanks for all your prayers for Ty and for my grandpa! Enjoy the new pictures!

Literally seconds after he was born!

Hey everyone! Ty was finally born via C-Section today (June 20th) at 9:18am. He weighed 8lbs 10 oz and was 20.5 inches long! He is doing wonderful! He has eaten 3 times and is so calm! He's just chilling taking in everything around him! I labored for 28 hours and his heartbeat started getting really high like average is 110-140 and he was 160-170. My doctor, who is very conservative, came into the room and said she didn't like it and wanted to go ahead and do a C-section. I didn't want to have one but when Ty became distressed I wanted them to do whatever to ensure his safety! But here are his pictures...we are so proud and he's so beautiful! We love you all and really appreciate your love, support, encouragement, and prayers!

We went to the doctor's this morning only to find out that little Ty is quite content where he is and does not want to come join us!! :) So I am going in the morning (Thursday the 19th) at 6am to be induced. Please pray that he will come naturally and I won't have to have a C-section! Well while I was in the doctor's office my best friends' husband called and said that Erin's water broke last night at 11pm and little McKenna Walker Burke is about to come into this world! She is three weeks early and they were SHOCKED that she went into labor! I have not heard yet (as of 12:15pm) if she has had her or not...but it will be soon I'm sure! So our babies will be 1 day apart...crazy! Anyways, thank you all for all your prayers and we'll post pictures as soon as possible! Especially because my mom is still in Missouri and her and my grandparents are dying to see him as soon as possible! :)

Hey everyone- First of all I have NOT had the baby yet...but I'm getting real close! My facebook status is this time next week I'll be a mom...crazy! Wow, it finally hit me that Ty is really going to be here! My mom and dad are in Missouri visiting Grammie for her mastectomy. Mom called me about 7pm tonight and said that the surgery went great! There were no other cancerous or pre-cancerous cells! Praise the Lord! Hopefully Grammie will get to go home tomorrow (Sat)! PaPa did not get to go to the hospital because his white blood cell count was still too low. But my dad was there to take him to Taco Bell for lunch (at PaPa's request :) ) and keep him company while they waited. Dad is coming home probably Monday and then my mom will come home when she feels like Grammie can take care of herself and PaPa. PaPa will hopefully have his last chemo treatment over the next few weeks. Dad said he looks better than before and is in good spirits. Than you all for your prayers.
Just in case you hadn't read before they are going to induce Thursday the 19th if Ty still doesn't come on his own! Be praying that he comes before then! We'll post something as soon as he comes! Love you all!

We went to the doctor yesterday (Monday, June 9th) really hoping that we would just go straight to the hospital to have Ty! But...no such luck. He is still very cozy in the belly and obviously does not want to join us just yet! My doctor put me on the books to be induced June 19th just in case he still hasn't come naturally. Please pray that he comes on his own time and pray that we do not get too impatient! I have felt really good the entire pregnancy until about a week ago and now I'm just miserable! But Ty's heartbeat and everything looks great and so we are extremely thankful for that! We'll post more info as it happens! Love you all and thank you for your prayers!

Hey everyone...we went to the doctor today for our weekly check up and I have not dilated anymore than a week ago. My doctor is out of town so I'll have to wait until next week to find out her plan on induction or whatever. The funny thing is the nurse practitioner told us that while she was at Vanderbilt studying everyone there that was pregnant went to eat eggplant parmesan at Olive Garden and their water broke the next day. It even worked on her with her twins...after eating it twice! So...Chad and I went to Olive Garden tonight and you guessed it, I ate me some good ole' eggplant parmesan :) It was sooooo good. So i'll keep you all posted if it really worked! HAHA. It is worth a shot! :)
My grandpa got to go home from the hospital today! Praise the Lord! He called me on his way home and he sounded great. My mom is here like I mentioned before and I have a 10 day window to have Ty before she goes back to Missouri to be with my grandma for her mastectomy. Thank you all for your prayers...

Update on Everything...

Hey everyone! Here's the update on Baby Ty and on my grandpa as well....
We went to the doctor yesterday (Tuesday) and as many of you know my due date has been up in the air due to the fertility stuff we had to do...so...they said they think I'm three weeks ahead of June 24th which would mean June 2nd which was my origional due date! But Ty is 7lbs and 11oz and ready to come! So, we have put in the carseat and my bags are packed in the back of the explorer. Just pray that my mom gets to come home from Missouri before the baby comes! I go back to the doctor on Monday (June 2nd) and hopefully that will be the last doctor's appointment! Wow, the 9 months has flown by but we are SO ready!
My grandpa was doing really good until yesterday where he had a little bit of a set back. He has contracted a virus in his blood which they think came from his port in his chest that is used for his cancer treatments. So, he had surgery to take that out and they hope that will take care of the virus. My mom and grandma are going to the farm tonight for some much needed sleep. They have been (eating & sleeping) at the hospital for 8 days now. So please continue to pray...he's not out of the woods yet but they hope he will go home in 2 days. That means my mom will probably come home Monday (June 2nd)....are you seeing a trend in the date of June 2nd? Ha...
God knows and is in control...his timing will be perfect.

Hey everyone - My mom headed out to Missouri to visit my grandparents on Monday. If you have read our blog before you know that both my grandpa (PaPa) and grandma (Grammie) have been diagnosed with cancer over the past 4 months or so. Papa has lymphoma and is going through chemo and Grammie was diagnosed with breast cancer and will have a mastectomy in a few weeks. So...to say the least my mom has been on an emotional roller coaster. But here's the newest....
Thankfully my mom was already out there but they had to take Papa to the hospital this morning (May 21st) because he can not eat/keep anything down. He's lost 4 more pounds and is at 134 pounds and looks awful. His blood pressure was horribly low and his blood count was at .5 when it should have been at 12. So they are giving him LOTS of fluids and "IV" food to get some nourishment. They might do a feeding tube so he can get some food in him. Please pray for them as they are keeping Papa in the hospital for a few days. God new that it was the perfect time for my mom to go out there. Anyways, I'll keep you all posted but please lift them up if you think about it. Thanks!

Hey everyone we went to the doctor on Monday and it looks like Ty is a little more ahead of schedule than we thought! We'll find out more next Tuesday when they do an ultrasound and measure him. So...pretty much the doctor said to go home and pack our bags because it looks like 4 more weeks at the most! Yikes...Scary! But I just want him to come when he is good and ready to come! It would be nice to be earlier because he's already so heavy and hard to carry! :) So be praying about that for us! Anyways, thought I would update. Our crib should come Friday so we'll be all set! I mentioned before that my grandma (Grammie) found a cancerous lump in her breast for the second time. She had an MRI and it came back clear and the cancer has not spread! Praise God! Right now they are just thinking and praying about the next step. Which will either be a lumpectomy or a mastectomy. Either way she is relieved that it is contained! My grandpa (PaPa) goes to the doctor Friday for another Cat Scan to see how much more the tumor has shrunk! He has lost most of his hair and lots of weight but is encouraged that the treatments are working! Thank you for your prayers!

30 week check up

Well...we went to the doctor for my 30 week check up last Monday and everything looks great! Our little guy is 3.5 lbs and around 15 inches long! Wow, he sure is a kicker but I love feeling him move! I never have to wonder if he's okay! We got an amazing ultra sound and I'll hopefully post that soon!
Other news is that our house is a total construction site! Chad has built me a true laundry room and I am ecstatic about it! Again, hopefully I'll have pictures soon! But this week dad is laying carpet in the nursery and we'll get to put the crib together! That will be really exciting and I'm looking forward to the nursery coming together.
Other family news....most of you know that my grandpa was diagnosed with lymphoma and the wonderful news is that he is responding to treatment and the tumor is shrinking! Praise God! And that is only have 3 treatments. He has approximately 3-4 treatments left and he'll be done by the time the baby comes. But we also had some other bad news that my grandma (Grammie) found a lump in her breast and it is cancerous. This week she'll have an MRI and see what the options are from there. We are thankful that her mammogram came back clear in November so it has developed since then. Be praying for them and my mom. My mom is really having a hard time and stressed about everything. I'll keep you all posted!

The Basketball Team Shower!

This past Sunday the basketball girls and their moms threw us an awesome baby shower! It was so much fun and Mrs. Harris made amazing decoraitons and came up with fun games! The baby has tons of basketball and Admiral stuff. He will be ready for our basketball season this fall! :) Thank you all so much for everything! You all are the best! :)

Our First Baby Shower!

We had our first baby shower this past Saturday with the college girls at our church. Brittany, LuAnne, and Diane hosted the shower and we had an AWESOME time! We got a lot of fun, good, practical stuff! Thank you everyone who came we are so blessed by you and your friendship! Here's some pictures too :)

26 Week Visit

Well Chad and I went to our 26 week visit today and the baby is doing great! He is 2lbs 1 oz and is in the 55th percentile...so perfect measurements and weight! We were so excited. He was a little camera shy today and would not let the nurse get a 3D picture! But oh well his heart was good and everything is right on track. I also had my glucose test today and had to drink some awful stuff! So we're praying I haven't developed sugar problems....we'll know in a week or so about that. We go back in 4 weeks then we start our every 2 week visits! Time is a ticking! Only 97 days left!!! SWEET! :)

Baby/Parenting Classes

Well, tonight we started our 5 weeks baby/parenting course at Park West. It was interesting and informative so far. Chad and I decided that we have no clue about all this stuff so....all this info is needed! haha. We will finish the classes up the middle of april and then the baby will be here before we know it!! I'd welcome any mommy/baby advice from you all!

God is getting me ready!

Well the lack of sleep has already begun and I know God is getting me ready to get up for nightly feedings! I am religiously waking up at 12:30am and 4:30am every morning to go to the restroom! Haha. Just the other morning I thought, "In 2 1/2 months there will be a crying baby boy needing me... oh my, God, am I ready for this!?!?!" So God reminded me how precious and rewarding it will be even in the middle of the night! We are just so thankful that God has allowed us to get pregnant and have a safe pregnancy.
Some exciting things are coming up....
first of all, we start our parenting/baby classes this Monday at Park West. That will be interesting and exciting all at the same time! Then on Wednesday I have my sugar test and another ultrasound...I'll be 27 weeks. Then we are having our first shower on March 29th with the college girls. So, tons going on! There will be pictures to update you all for sure!
We also started off our spring break with some major spring cleaning. We have worked our butts off today in the garage and around the house. We are having a garage sale at the end of the month to make room for all the baby stuff!! Oh, the task has only begun!

Trip to Missouri

We had the opportunity to go to Missouri this past week to help my grandparents around their farm. My grandfather was diagnosed with Lymphoma a few weeks ago and is going through chemo so we decided to go out and spend some time with them. It was my brothers spring break from school so it was perfect timing. I'll post some pics soon because we go 5 inches of snow while we were there! You know we don't see that much here in good ole Tennessee! Bradley and Chad build a HUGE snowman...it was hilarious!
Being on the farm is so much fun and we were so thankful to go. Please keep my grandpa in your prayers because he has 5 or 6 more chemo treatments and it really slows him down. Hopefully his treatments will be done by the time the baby comes!!! That will be a huge reward for him and for us! :)

Hello everyone....I have been trying to decide which blog to do and which one I liked best and I have decided to stick with this one. I have a lot of catching up to do but I thought this would be a good way to communicate about the baby and share pictures! So here it goes...

Baby News:
~I am now officially 24 weeks pregnant and feeling great. The time is flying by and we are so excited to welcome our new son to the world!
~Chad has painted the nursery and it looks awesome! I'll be posting pictures soon!
~We have also registered for all the STUFF at Target and Babies R Us. That was tons of fun and made a whole day out of it!
~We have not picked out names yet; however, we are getting close. There are not too many names that go with Eidemiller believe it or not! :) haha.
~My best friend, Erin, found out 2 weeks after me that she is pregnant also! We are so excited to be going through this together...even though she's not in town! :( But she is having a baby girl and we already know we are going to be in-laws for life :) haha.

Other News:
~It seems like all we think about is the baby but other stuff is going on in our lives too!
~My freshman basketball team came in 2nd in the district and we ended up having a pretty good season. The varsity team is on a roll and we are playing in the sub-state this Saturday in Greeneville, TN. If we win that means we are going to state! Which is really exciting!
~I finished up my student teaching in December and I am substituting full time for Knox County and I really enjoy it.
~About a month ago my grandpa (PaPa) in Missouri was diagnosed with lymphoma and has begun chemotherapy. Please pray for him and this long battle. He is doing well for his age (83) but it obviously takes a toll on him! My grandma (Grammie) is holding up good and is staying strong. We know that God's will, will be done!
~My little brother (Bradley) turned 20 years old this month and this is just crazy! I can't believe it and it makes me feel sooooo old!

Well I guess that is all for now. I'll be posting some pictures and other posts to keep everyone up to date. Please keep praying for the baby and his health!

The Heartbeat & First Ultrasound....

We went to the doctor for the first time last week and heard the heartbeat!! We were really excited! They said that I actually was only 8 weeks instead of 11 so that pushed everything back to June 25th is our new due date. So, we'll see how long that stays that way!
I head back after Thanksgiving and I will be done with my first trimester by then! We are looking forward to the holidays and spending time with family. I'll keep everyone up to date!

Well....We're Expecting! :)

Chad and I found out this week that we are expecting! This has been a long process and we are so thankful for those who have helped us & prayed us through it! I go to the doctor on Nov. 8th for my first ultra sound. We are praying that everything is good and that we do not become too anxious about the health of the baby, etc! I will be posting our progress as much as I can! Be praying as we start this amazing journey! :)
